The National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology – Inmetro – is a federal agency, linked to the Special Secretariat for Productivity, Employment and Competitiveness, of the Ministry of Economy. The Institute acts as the Executive Secretariat of the National Council of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (Conmetro), an interministerial collegiate body, which is the regulatory body of the National System of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (Sinmetro).

Inmetro's core mission is to instill confidence in Brazilian society by ensuring accurate measurements and product quality through metrology and conformity assessment, thereby promoting better consumer relations, fostering innovation, and enhancing the nation's competitiveness.

Mr. Hamlet Tunyan, the CEO of Recom Technologies, expressed enthusiasm for this strategic move, saying, “The South American market is expansive and continuously expanding, and Recom is here to contribute to delivering cleaner and more affordable energy to all Brazilians. Our expansion into the Brazilian market aligns with our ongoing international growth efforts”.
